Northern California Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) Announces 2008 Board of Directors

February 1, 2008: The Northern California chapter of the Product Development and Management Association (Norcal PDMA), has announced its 2008 Board of Directors, including Jim Longo as President and Mike Marfise as President-Elect. The new board brings expanded leadership to one of Silicon Valley’s most influential and energetic not-for-profit organizations. Norcal PDMA connects the best and brightest product professionals, developers and entrepreneurs in the Bay Area.

“NorCal PDMA has seen tremendous growth and success in the past year,” said Noël Adams, outgoing president. “We’re very privileged to bring fresh leadership to our board, and a growing list of corporate sponsors including Yahoo!, Intuit and Telelogic.”

“PDMA has a long history nationally of inspiring technical and product professionals,” said Jim Longo, incoming president. “Norcal PDMA brings innovators together to learn, teach, share and network. In 2008, we will be aggressively growing our membership base with even more exciting events, dynamic speakers, PDMA member benefits and volunteer opportunities.”

“An expanded Board of Directors will let Norcal PDMA improve operationally while also bringing in more members,” said Mike Marfise, President Elect. “With staff focused specifically on partnerships and corporate sponsors, we will be reaching deeper into Silicon Valley’s vibrant product development community.”

For 2008, the Norcal PDMA Board of Directors are:

  • Jim Longo, Norcal PDMA President. Jim leads the Product Management and Design team for Dun & Bradstreet’s Global Portal.
  • Mike Marfise, Norcal PDMA President Elect. Mike is VP of Product Operations at Accept Software.
  • Rich Mironov, VP of Marketing. Rich is CMO of Enthiosys and a new PDMA board member.
  • Chetan Popat, Partner Liaison. Chetan is Program Manager at Cadence Design Systems and a new PDMA board member.
  • Jean-Philippe Senneville, VP of Programs. JP is a Lean Process Engineer with JAI and a new PDMA board member.
  • Barb Wilson, VP-Elect of Programs. Barb is a Software Product Manager for Aircraft Technical Publishers a new PDMA board member.
  • Paula Clawson, VP Community Experience. Paula is a President of The Market Window Company.
  • Santosh Gopal, VP of Membership. Santosh is Vice President of Sales at Ness USA.
  • Laura Haggerty, VP of Special Projects. Laura is Director of Corporate Performance Management at Genesys Telecommunications.
  • Isaac Kama, VP Corporate Development and Academic Outreach. Isaac is an International Business Development specialist at Speedmark Transportation.
