In a 19-Nov-08 report called “Serious Games Uncover Serious Requirements,” Forrester analysts TJ Keitt and Tom Grant write about the emerging market for serious gaming as a way to collect and analyze requirements. “Serious gaming… can circumvent many of the traditional problems with product requirements, including collecting sufficient information across customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to make product decisions. Not only are the games relatively lightweight exercises, but they also use a lighter touch to resolve many debates over product decisions.”

They call out Enthiosys as one of two companies offering serious games, writing extensively about our Innovation Game called Buy A Feature Online.  We’re excited to be at the forefront of this new solution space.

Forrester also highlighted VeriSign as an Enthiosys client who has successfully used Buy A Feature Online for input and internal decision-making. VeriSign found that “Internet delivery allowed for fresh perspectives and new ideas” and “the game provided a team-building exercise for the entire organization.”
