Luke Hohmann, founder and CEO
Luke is a recognized expert on agile product management of software products and a former senior software product manager at four companies. He is also the author of three books and numerous articles on software product management. He is also a frequent speaker at software and other industry events.
Before founding Enthiosys in 2003, Luke was vice president of business development in the U.S. for Aladdin Knowledge Systems; vice president of engineering and product development at Aurigin Systems Inc.; education technical director at ObjectSpace Inc.; and vice president of systems engineering at EDS Fleet Services.
He loves his job, and is happiest when he’s helping his clients build great products and services. He’s especially enjoys watching clients get excited about creating new products and services as the result of playing Innovation Games® with their customers, integrating these into new product development practices, and creating them through architecturally sustainable Agile methods.
Luke’s counsel is sought far and wide. He is currently a member of the Agile Alliance, having been involved for more than a decade in the Agile community. He is also a senior advisor to OpenView Venture Partners. Luke has been a featured presenter at numerous conferences including the Software Development Best Practices 2006 and 2007 conferences, aGile 2007 / 2008 / 2009, The Spring Experience, and The Better Software Conference & Expo. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of California at Berkeley’s School of Information. He is a member of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the IEEE.
Luke graduated magna cum laude with a B.S.E. in computer engineering and an M.S.E. in computer science and engineering from the University of Michigan. In addition to data structures and artificial intelligence, he studied cognitive psychology and organizational behavior. He is also a former National Junior Pairs Figure Skating Champion, as well as a certified aerobics instructor. In his spare time, Luke likes roughhousing with his four kids and his wife’s cooking. Scott Gilbert, president
Scott joined Enthiosys in 2006 after nine years in large, multinational organizations, technology startups and his own consulting firm. He is an expert in Agile software product management, business planning, project management and business development.
He has worked in a variety of high-tech sectors including enterprise software, aerospace and defense, satellite communications and interactive media. Before coming to Enthiosys, for three years Scott was an independent consultant to Technology Ventures Corp. On behalf of TVC, he provided consulting services to early-stage technology startups, developed and delivered a highly successful entrepreneurial training program, and managed the firm’s California board of advisors. He helped his clients raise more than $11 million in venture and angel capital.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Scott was a co-founder and director of marketing at Inferscape, a software company specializing in predictive analytics. He was in charge of developing the firm’s strategy, establishing partnerships, securing beta customers, conducting market research and working with engineering to define and prioritize the initial product requirements.
Prior to Inferscape, he was a consultant with BearingPoint’s High Technology Strategy Practice and Digital Media Incubator. He advised clients on how to commercialize technology, develop new markets, and create effective business plans. His clients ranged from Fortune 500 companies to startups, and government agencies from NASA and the Department of Defense to the Department of Energy.
For three years, he was a volunteer and board member of the Northern California chapter of the Product Development and Management Association. Scott holds BBA degrees in marketing management and international management from the University of New Mexico, received his ScrumMaster certification in 2006, and Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Practitioner certifications in 2008.

Rich Mironov, chief marketing officer
Rich is a software product strategist and veteran of four high-tech startups. He is considered one of the pre-eminent experts on software product management and marketing. He joined Enthiosys in July 2007 and heads its marketing and business development activities.
Rich started his technology industry career in 1981 as a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard. He managed networking products for six years at Tandem Computers, including launching the firm’s TCP/IP offering. He then joined Sybase to oversee the product team responsible for making the firm’s database software run on more than 40 operating systems. In the mid-1990s, Rich created and managed Sybase’s Internet Products Group, whose web.sql product was the first commercial solution for dynamic linking of Web pages with databases.
After Sybase, he worked at four Silicon Valley companies: Wayfarer Communications (acquired by Vantive), iPass (where he headed product management and product marketing), Slam Dunk Networks (VP of marketing) and AirMagnet (VP of marketing).
Prior to joining Enthiosys, Rich had consulted to more than 20 large and small technology companies on business strategy, product strategy and market analysis. He also has been an interim vice president of marketing and product management at some of these firms.
Author of “The Art of Product Management” and the popular “Product Bytes” newsletter on technology product strategy, Rich is a highly sought after speaker and writer on technology and technology product strategy. He is on the faculty of the Executive Development Center at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a peer reviewer for the California Management Review. In addition, he has served on the boards of the Northern California Product Development and Management Association (Norcal PDMA) and Silicon Valley Product Management Association (SVPMA).
Rich has an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a B.S. degree in physics from Yale University (with a thesis on dinosaur extinction theories).

Dan O’Leary, Chief Technical Officer
Dan joins Enthiosys with over 20 years experience in commercial software experience including 10 years focused on mission critical enterprise software products.
At Callidus Software, Dan rose from a member of the initial engineering team to VP Engineering, where he built a high performance rule-based enterprise incentive management system (TrueComp) currently in use by over 150 global enterprises. His engineering team and as individual contributor delivered the architecture and product feature set for 2 major releases then led a group of up to 50 engineers through 4 major releases supporting customers across manufacturing, telecommunications, life sciences, banking, financial services and insurance verticals.
Prior to Callidus, Dan was a staff engineer at Sun Microsystems where he designed and built development tools supporting Java/C++ development as well as a multi-site configuration management system (TeamWare) used by the Solaris development team in addition to many other external customers. Dan holds four software patents related to his work at Sun. At EDS Research Labs, he worked on an object oriented development language and environment supporting rule-based expert systems development.
Dan has a M.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Computer Science with honors (summa cum laude) from Western Michigan University.
